BVI Red Cross Student Policy

Students completing community service hours with the BVI Red Cross are required to follow the guidelines below to help maintain a safe and professional environment:

No jewelry or chains: Jewelry can pose safety risks, become damaged, or interfere with tasks during volunteer activities

No open-toe shoes: Closed-toe shoes are required to reduce the risk of injury while working or moving items

No revealing clothing: Appropriate attire helps maintain a professional environment and ensures comfort and respect for all staff, volunteers, and visitors

Application must be completed: An request for hours must be completed beforehand and the BVI Red Cross will contact you with dates and times for when we can accommodate your child. Due to a high influx of student a student may need to wait 2-4 weeks before they can start.

Inform BVIRC of arrival: On the first day parents should inform and meet a BVIRC representation and inform us that they are here to conduct their hours. Please do not casually drop off your child at the BVI Red Cross
